we are thankful for richmond sturdivant sr. who had the vision to buy land to start a family cemetery. The cemetery is located in polkton, NC down the street from where the old house use TO be. many of our relatives are buried there and your family dues help to maintain the grounds.
For many years the cemetery was maintained personally by Alfonza Dean, Sr. and Vernice Rorie, Sr.(d.2018). We are thankful for their willingness to devote their time to ensure the land stays clear, properly cut and treated. The tombstones are cleaned and an inventory of the departed is logged. Alfonza is currently the head of our cemetery fund and committee and we are thankful for his service to our family!
